There´s the Bull!

Travelling on the road in Spain can be a wonderful experience where you can run into one of cultural icons of this country, the famous Osborne Bull, one of the largest sherry producing wine cellars in the world. This unique and famous road sign is seen throughout the beautiful spanish roads alongside olive tree plantations and vineyards that invite you to find out more about this unique icon.

When we speak of Andalucia, we speak of its cuisine which of course includes Jerez or Sherry as we know it, this wine with its world known unique flavor.

So we decided to visit the world famous Osborne wine cellars to know more about the origins of this wine.

One of the most interesting guided tours in southern Spain is to the Osborne wine cellars. They have been in the same place, in Puerto de Santa Maria near Cadiz, since 1772.

Our GPS guided us through narrow and winding roads, but we knew we were in the right place when one of the passengers in the car said, ¡there´s the bull, We made it !    That is how famous this iconic bull is.

The guided tour includes Osborne´s history, production cycles, storage and marketing of these famous brands. The tour ends with a wine tasting session where you can experience the differences between its brands and wine producing methods.

The laughter and anecdotes that this tour will brand in your memories, in our opinion makes it a must in our visit to Andalucia. Definite Bucket List.
