Sevilla

Sevilla

The fire girl calls you people. My father’s dream was always to travel to Seville, the beautiful city of Andalusia in Spain. Every day at 5:00 am my alarm clock was not a clock or a rooster, it was my father singing in the bathroom, always the same songs and among them “the girl of fire”, song of the flamenco genre made famous by the great Manolo Caracol and the matchless Lola Flores. He sang it with passion, with desire and on more than one occasion he told his children that his dream was to be in Seville. All this came to mind when I arrived in this beautiful city and stumbled upon the riverbank of the Guadalquivir and the stunning Torre del Oro, the evening light falling on its structure.

Already the first contacts with the Sevillians define their spark, joy and that unique way of speaking that more than an accent is an attitude in life. Its diversity product of the coexistence of so many cultures where the best of each world was taken makes its structures, its buildings and iconic sites unique in the world.

The Real Alcazar of Seville, the Cathedral of the Santa Maria, the Torre de la Giralda, the Barrio Santa Cruz, the Barrio de Triana, the bullring of the Maestranza, the Archive of the Indies are landmarks of Seville, fantastic sites that leave recorded in the memory of the traveler product of the architectural fusion of so many civilizations intertwined with a clear Andalusian, Roman and Christian influence.

Its outstanding gastronomy, in which the oxtail stands out, offers a wide range of traditional and avant-garde options where the restaurant “El Rinconcillo” stands out, a spectacular place where each dish condenses the Sevillian flavor. We were struck by the large number of people crowded at their doors waiting to be seated and the prominence of the ration of spinach with chickpeas, a dish much requested by the lively diners.

Its magical sunsets and its reflection in the Guadalquivir exalts the memory of any person. The trip to Seville is a unique experience that will last in the memory of the traveler forever.

My father was right, Seville is a spectacular city, full of history, traditions and good vibes. It is a good example of why a good trip lasts a lifetime.

Definitely, the Andalusian capital has a special color.
